What kind of phone should I buy for my digital (cable) home phone?

Question by princesszet: What kind of phone should I buy for my digital (cable) home phone?
I have just had suddenlink put in a line for the digital home telephone and I have just a regular 5.8 GHz phone by vtech and it doesn’t work well with the connection I guess! He used another phone that he had and it worked fine but mine doesn’t and he suggested I buy a DECT 6.0 phone and I was wondering if that was the best phone to have with this type of service! If anyone is familiar with this please help! Thanks!

Hi princesszet,

I am using our old V-Tech 5.8 GHz without any problems. I thought all phones would work. I really don’t know what to suggest.

  • well, he is right, get rid of that Vtech, they are garbage, and he is also right DECT is the latest greatest technology for cordless phones…

    panasonic is the best brand…

BUT…………. you should NOT have problems with a 5.8ghz phone, IF you were to say you had a 2.4ghz phone and a wifi router, then I could understand the problem…
