My son and I were in the Annapolis Mall at 5:00 p.m. when the Apple Store unlocked their doors to let the first person in to buy the new iPad 2. There were hundreds and hundreds of people in line. About 50 Apple employees had just marched up to the door, clapping and shouting, and went inside to welcome in the first person.
I turned around to see who else was watching the fun and caught this expression of the pure joy of the moment right behind me.

I thought it might have been a good shot when I looked at the screen after I shot it, and when I got home and downloaded it to iPhoto it felt like everything I had wanted to do with a camera since I was a kid was right there in that moment.
