I have a normal non-digital tv, and I am thinking of buying a standard definition digital set top box for our current tv. So like, would they work together now, and when digital tvs come out? Thanks in advance.

The box you have now will work with any TV set, all the box does is change the signal from analog to a digital signal. It does not matter if you have a very old TV or a new flat screen TV. The box just changes the way the signal comes into your home.

If the new Digital TVS have the converter built in then you won’t need a converter box for that particular set. Or if you have cable or dish antenna because they already are sending out a digital signal.You will be fine, don’t worry about it.
